Singer/multi-instrumentalist Dave Kerzner plays in several prog rock bands. He also releases solo albums. His new album ‘Heart Land Mines Vol. 1′ is autobiographical. After and bad relationship, Dave drove away, without a plan; but with suitcase and guitar. He doesn’t only speak about her behaviour, and its consequences, but also about self-reflection. Not everything is easy to understand. Even if you don’t recognise yourself in this situation, you can appreciate this album. There is no hate to be heard in vocals/music, rather melancholy, sometimes with a touch of rock. Dave gives a look at this period of his life in a gentle way. The album is mostly calm in concept, but more complex than at first appears. Guest musicians include vocalist Durga McBroom, guitarist Randy McStine and violinist Joe Deninzon. All this makes it well worth listening/purchasing.

Zanger/multi- instrumentalist Dave Kerzner speelt in diverse prog rock bands. Daarnaast brengt hij solo-albums uit. Zijn nieuwe album ‘Heart Land Mines Vol. 1’ is autobiografisch. Na en slechte relatie reed Dave weg, zonder plan; maar met koffer en gitaar. Hij vertelt niet alleen over haar gedrag, en de de gevolgen ervan, ook zelfreflectie komt aan bod. Niet alles is makkelijk te doorgronden. Ook als je jezelf niet herkent in deze situatie, kun je dit album waarderen. Er is geen haat te horen in zang/muziek, eerder melancholie, soms met een vleugje rock. Dave geeft op een rustige manier een kijkje op deze periode van zijn leven. Het album is overwegend kalm van opzet, maar complexer dan in eerste instantie lijkt. De gastmuzikanten zijn onder andere zangeres Durga McBroom, gitarist Randy McStine en violist Joe Deninzon. Dit alles maakt het luisteren/kopen zeker de moeite waard.
