It had been six years since British blues-rock guitarist Ben Poole performed at De Bosuil (Weert). On the grey Sunday afternoon of November 6, this gentle man finally returned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stef Paglia became known as the guitarist of The BluesBones, based in Belgium. In 2017, he founded the Stef Paglia Trio. They play a mix of blues rock, soul, classic rhythm and Americana. Almost unnoticed, this support act entered the stage. During the first phrases of ‘Stand up’, it was already clear that Stef has a pleasant voice. This new song immediately felt good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of ‘Warmth Instead Of Cold’ Stef sang and played nicely subdued. Stef played quieter and quieter, drummer Sven Bloemen and bassist Geert Schurmans went along with this, even the rests were played well. Tempo and volume slowly went up, deservedly he received applause in between. The slight rough edge on his voice made this slow blues song extra beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
