British guitarist Dave Brons released \u2018Based on a True Story\u2019, his instrumental debut album, in 2015. Since then, his music has evolved. Uilleann pipes and Irish flutes feature prominently. Add string instruments and the brass section, and you get rich, complex music. His inspiration comes from Tolkien’s \u2018Lord of the Rings\u2019, among others. After three studio albums, it was time for a live album: \u2018Brons Live in the Shire\u2019. This double album mainly features songs from \u2018Not all Those Who Wander are Lost\u2019 (2020), and \u2018Return to Arda\u2019 (2022).
Dave’s beautiful guitar playing blends well with the Celtic influences.
Dave talks little between songs, which is why this live album never gets boring. Most of the time, the sound is bright, but sometimes it’s a bit too pale. Still, you can feel the emotion and passion with which Dave plays. Moreover, I am also regularly touched by the other musicians\/vocalists. No wonder the bundle (CD\/ Blue ray) is already sold out. The CD and download are still available..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De Britse gitarist Dave Brons bracht in 2015 \u2018Based on a True Story\u2019 zijn instrumentale debuut album uit. Daarna is zijn muziek ge\u00ebvolueerd. De Ierse doedelzak en Ierse fluiten nemen een prominente plaats in. Tel daarbij de strijkinstrumenten en de brass sectie bij op, en je krijgt rijke, complexe muziek. Zijn inspiratie komt onder andere van \u2018Lord of the Rings\u2019 van Tolkien. Na drie studio albums werd het tijd voor een live album: \u2018Brons Live in the Shire\u2019. Op dit dubbelalbum zijn vooral nummers te horen van \u2018Not all Those Who Wander are Lost\u2019 (2020), en \u2018Return to Arda\u2019 (2022).
Het prachtige gitaarspel van Dave past prima bij de Keltische invloeden. Dave praat weinig tussen de nummers door, hierdoor gaat dit live album nooit vervelen. Meestal is het geluid helder, maar soms is het iets te flets. Toch voel je de emotie en de passie waarmee Dave speelt. Bovendien word ik ook door de andere muzikanten\/vocalisten regelmatig geraakt. Geen wonder dat de combinatie CD\/ Blu-Ray
al uitverkocht is. De gewone dubbel cd en de download zijn er gelukkig nog wel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
