The Captain is open-minded troubadour, taking his inspiration from great philosophers, among others. His music contains dreamy verses and beautiful melodies, calm folk and ambient sounds.
About two years ago, a driver with a stolen car was on the run from the police, causing The Captain and his family to be involved in a car accident (everything through no fault of their own). There followed a long recovery for The Captain. He continued to make music, but this was difficult and slow. Partly because of the strong painkillers and all the emotions an accident and rehabilitation bring, \u2018Beautiful Ugly\u2019 has become a reflective and healing album. With this knowledge, you might listen in a different way to the calm, sometimes surreal-sounding songs. The Captain’s vocals merge so beautifully with the music that his voice becomes one with the music. This allows the listening lyrics to largely pass you by, giving the album a calming effect. If you listen intensely to the lyrics, it encourages you to reflect . However you listen, if you are looking for to calm down, this album will appeal to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
