Hun inspiratie komt van onder andere Paramore, Twenty One Pilots en Patti Smith, waarbij ieder bandlid zijn/haar eigen visie in brengt. Zangeres Fleur Bonnewits is tevens bassist, daarnaast bespeelt ze de toetsen. Timo Hulzenboom is de gitarist, last but not least: Imme de Wilde is de drummer. Ondanks hun prille bestaan als band stonden ze al twee keer op Metropolis festival. Bovendien mochten ze Opperdepop festival openen voor Waylon en Golden Earring.
Onlangs brachten ze hun eerste single ‘Cheers ’n Tears’ uit. Voor de opnames werkte Left in Suspense samen met een groep studenten van het Albeda College, Marvin Dee heeft de single gemixt en Jasper Pauw heeft hem gemasterd.
‘Cheers ’n Tears’ zal voor de band altijd speciaal blijven. Want dit rocknummer is het eerste nummer waarmee zij live optraden. Deze single is te beluisteren op Soundcould. Daar hoor je dat Fleur een jonge rockstem heeft, waar een licht ruw randje op zit. De muziek is opzwepend, en niet al te luid of te ruig voor de jonge stem van Fleur. Tijdens een instrumentaal stukje wordt de rock iets pittiger, prima gekozen! De single duurt 3.23 minuten, maar het voelt veel korter. Kortom dit smaakt naar meer Goed nieuws: er komt meer! Want momenteel is Left in Suspense druk aan het werk aan hun debuut EP. Deze krijgt de titel ‘Zoned Out’ en komt in de loop van het komend voorjaar uit.
